Sat in the M&S Cafe today to do some work - the two male staff members working were so helpful, polite and kind to every customer - Rare to see such good customer service and so natural to them too.
Great quality clothes and also yellow sticker hunting.
Btw Monday after 2 pm is the best time that's when the madness begins! 😆 …
Love the food hall and wouldn't dare use a trolley or I'd buy too much. Self service checkout works well once you get used to it.
Not the biggest store and clothing display space is a bit restricted especially in the kids area.
Cafe is bright with great coffee and cakes.
Parking is hit and miss so avoid peak times.
Love it. Never really shopped in it before but being in the queue and new opening hours works perfectly. I would buy mostly food out of it as it's such easy great tasting food and really reasonable prices. Downfall is you should have free parking like Sainsbury's for shoppers over say £20 Or even for just the hour
for a shop whose supermarket food is usually excellent i was very dissapionted re the quailty of resteraunt fare. would not go back
New store opened with the year. Food hall sells all of their range and the flowers are beautifull. The clothes range is limited now and although had a little of everything it not good the selection it used to have. There is a coffee shop upstairs as well as men's department and a very limited children's clothing range. It ok but I feel they concentrating in the food end more.
Lunchtime food of scrambled eggs was really not good. Dry etc. Staff very nice particularly one person who was eating his lunch but saw we were having trouble avoiding the very cold AC. He asked us if we would like it adjusted, and did so. I called number given two days later to complain and compliment and have had no follow up. Am surprised. Would particularly like to know the compliment was noted.
I'll give it four, as I'm warming to it, after my initial visit. I had got used to the place in the Buttercrane (now closed). It's spacious, and I liked the cool, modern cafe, yet there were surprisingly few customers to be seen. Maybe we have to wait until the vacant stores are occupied.
